Joseph Nordlinger
President and Chief Executive Officer
I joined Ascent in 2003 as the Director of Sales. After leading Ascent's sales organization through four consecutive years of exceptional growth I began serving as Ascent's President and CEO in 2006. Under my leadership Ascent has made the transition from a startup to a leader in the Human Capital industry. I have worked tirelessly to elevate three key discipline areas of an enterprise irrespective of industry. Talent/Workforce Management, Project/Portfolio Management and Data Management are critical to an organization's prosperity and I have aligned Ascent to drive value in these areas through exceptional service delivery and unparalleled peer networking to promote these disciplines. Prior to Ascent, I was a business development manager for Cap Gemini-Ernst & Young and I hold my Bachelor of Arts in International Political Economics from the University of California at San Diego.
Hobbies and activities: Beekeeping, organic gardening, residential energy and water efficiency, running, snowboarding, scuba diving and mountaineering.

Richard Lawrence
Chief Financial Officer

I joined Ascent in 2012 as Chief Financial Officer after amassing more than 20 years of experience managing outsourced staffing services in the information technology, telecommunications and property service sectors. Educated in the United Kingdom, I am qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants. My financial and operational experience includes overseeing international operations for corporations in Europe and in the United States. My wide-ranging experience in finance and operations has given me a strong background in developing and growing businesses utilizing the advantage of technology while ensuring excellent customer service. I have also engineered numerous successful mergers and acquisitions within the business services sector. At Ascent, I have responsibility for accounting and business reporting together with compliance, contracts management, legal affairs and the IT infrastructure. Before joining Ascent, I was CFO of PreCare Inc. Prior to that I worked for S.Com, initially as their Group CFO based in the UK and then as the President, COO & CFO of the US operation based in San Francisco. I moved with my family to the USA in 2001 and enjoy living in the Bay Area and supporting the SF Giants.

Jovan King
Chief Technology Officer

Technology and business strategy are my passions. By looking at innovative ways to leverage technology through systems integration and automation, I seek to build solutions that enhance my business counterparts' ability to run faster than our competition. From a strategic services perspective, I lead our Management Consulting, Data Management, and Project Portfolio practice areas. Balancing internal and external responsibilities is not easy but I work with a great team that helps it all come together.

Michelle Miller
Vice President of Sales and Delivery

I serve as the Vice President of Sales & Delivery. I am responsible for the development and implementation of strategic sales initiatives and optimization of Ascent’s recruiting operational model. I joined Ascent in 2006 and was initially tasked with building the Life Sciences division focused on clinical research staffing and direct hire search.

I began my career as a recruiter then worked my way up through Senior Management with Management Alliance Group (MAGIC). I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration & Marketing from the University of South Florida.

I believe the key to any successful organization is its people and significant focus on attracting, mentoring and retaining the best of the best. This philosophy has been instrumental in the continued growth of Ascent and award winning delivery to our valuable customers.

Carrie Cianfichi
Sr. Director of Human Capital

I joined Ascent in 2012 as Senior Director of Human Capital, and have over ten years experience in the field mainly with professional service organizations. Before joining Ascent, I spent over five years as Director of Human Resources for PreCare, Inc. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources from Sonoma State University. In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family, and playing indoor and outdoor soccer.

Charity Hudnall
Sr. Director of Marketing

I joined the Ascent team in August, 2013 as Marketing Director with responsibility for the company's overall marketing strategy, corporate communications, brand positioning, and digital platforms. My department is responsible for promoting and positioning the Ascent growth strategy, cultivating opportunities in new and existing markets, and creating environments for long lasting relationships. I have over 10 years of marketing leadership and management experience. Through those years, I have found my professional passion to be digital marketing and intricate strategy building. In my personal time, I am 100% invested in my family. I believe that children need our support to become the future leaders and innovators who make the world a better place.

Melissa Douglas
Senior Managing Director

I have been in the recruiting business for 16+ years and with Ascent for 6.5+ years. I started in the business while still in high school, doing filing and resume formatting.

I worked my way up the ranks to my current position, where I am responsible for ensuring that my team of 13 recruiters deliver on Denver Direct business, Wells Fargo, United Healthcare as well as Amgen.

I feel very fortunate to have been granted the opportunities to grow in my career throughout my years at Ascent.

In my spare time, I enjoy working out, participating in charity races and hiking in the mountains. I am also an avid Broncos fan and love doing puzzles — I won't leave the table until they’re done!

Ellen Frank
Contracts Manager

In my role at Ascent, I review contracts with clients and send out subcontractor contracts. I take pride in making sure Ascent has fair contracts and that we abide by all terms.

I started off in the industry over 15 years ago and I enjoy the matchmaking aspect of the business — the pairing of skilled professionals with clients that need those abilities. Everyone wins, the candidate looking for work, the client looking for the best possible talent to fill an opening and Ascent, for introducing and managing the relationship.

My favorite movie is “The Sound of Music” and I am most inspired by the figure eight, because sideways it is infinity.

Debra Jaron
Director of Program Development, Ascent Workforce

I have been with Ascent for ten years, as a Sales Manager, National Sales Manager and as Director of Sales for the Bay Area Direct team since January 2013.

I have 25+ years of experience in the Staffing industry. Sales roles have always come naturally to me- I love building revenue and exceeding goals. I am naturally outgoing, love meeting new people, learning about new companies and building long-lasting relationships.

When I'm not working, I love to walk, travel to new places, shop, get lost in a good book, and, most of all, spend time with my family.

Judith Kendrix
Director of Finance

Bringing 20 years of hands on finance & accounting experience to the table, I joined Ascent in 2007 as the Director of Finance. Fifteen years of my career experience has been in the staffing and VMS industry. Prior to joining Ascent, I was the Finance Manager at Chimes where I was responsible for managing four major engagements. Years ago I learned that my passion for the positions that I have successfully held are fueled by the fast-paced, high volume, and the always evolving dynamic that this industry has to offer. I can honestly say that I love what I do! Leading by example, setting clear expectations, over communicating and laughing encompass my management style. Two sayings captivated me early on in my career: “Don’t just settle for good be great” and “You can achieve anything and everything you put your mind to.” With three kids, two deeply involved in high school sports and one in college, I am consistently on the go enjoying quality time with family and friends

I have over 20 years of IT and Business Professional staffing experience in the Bay Area. I joined Ascent in 2012 and I specialize in hiring, training and mentoring recruiters to provide high quality professionals to each and every client Ascent serves.

I create high performing teams that work with the premier standards of ethics and customer service. I was born to work in recruiting — I love the art of matching up the right candidate to the right project or position. I absolutely enjoy helping candidates make the jump to consulting and then watching their careers flourish.

Diane Ratto
Executive Assistant to the CEO and CFO

I am Executive Assistant to Ascent's CEO and CFO. As part of my position at the company, I not only assume the customary EA role, but also act as membership coordinator for the three professional associations Ascent sponsors. In that role, I create and send all member and steering committee communications, coordinate events and assist in the day to day running of the associations. In my time off, I most enjoy spending time with my grandchildren and partaking in my favorite hobby, cooking.

Ryan Sanders
Director of Strategic Sales, Ascent Pharma

I am currently Director of Strategic Sales, Ascent Pharma. I joined Ascent in early 2011 as the National Sales Manager for our Ascent Pharma division.  As National Sales Manager, I was charged with growing our national reach of Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Contract Research Organization clients. Starting out as a Technical Recruiter out of college, I immediately took to the staffing business because it was all about helping people. I eventually found that the part of this business that really spoke to my passion was sales — understanding my clients’ unique resourcing challenges and crafting specific solutions to help them achieve their goals. All the positions we fill at Ascent Pharma are of great importance. The talent we place has a key role in the development of new treatments for unmet disease. I enjoy spending my spare time with my wife and two young children.

Gary McCune
Recruiting Manager-Enterprise Talent

I'm a Recruiting Team Lead and joined Ascent 2010. I have great sourcing skills which include being able to identify strong candidates quickly through the usage of Booleans. I work primarily on Visa, Blue Shield and with Direct Clients through our Sales team. I graduated from Chico State University in 2010 with a Business Degree and an emphasis on Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship. I like outdoor activities and my pastimes include biking, softball, baseball, photography and my favorite hobby, scuba diving.

Ashley Puente
Associate Director of Recruiting

As an Associate Director of recruiting for Ascent’s Pharma Division, I manage, lead, and execute recruitment for clinical research, life sciences and engineering. 

What I find most rewarding about my position is that I am helping people, not only job seekers, but those who benefit from the capitalization of that talent. Ascent's Pharma team assists in the process of curing disease and developing products to promote health.

My favorite book is Howard Zinn’s A People’s History of the United States, which encouraged and provoked me to take accountability for my opinions, not only about our history, but in everything I do.

Scott Williams
Senior Managing Director, Ascent Pharma

I am Director of Recruiting, Scientific Division of Ascent Life Sciences and come to Ascent with 11 years of experience serving in various roles within the Staffing Industry including: Delivery, Delivery Management, Account Management, Business Development, and Operations Management.  My area of expertise is Direct Hire, Contract Services, Large Engagement, and various RPO delivery models. I provide leadership in sourcing strategies as well as day-to-day management of large scale recruiting operations.  

My primary area of focus has been technical staffing solutions within the Science, Engineering and Clinical Verticals.  I take a consultative approach to understanding my clients’ needs and company culture to assure delivery of the best available talent for their specific needs.

Outside of work, I enjoy going on adventures with my wife and 2 sons Carter and George.  I also enjoy distance running, golf, reading and staying up to date on the latest technology and business news.

Erika Marquez
Recruiting Manager

I was born and raised in Durango, CO and attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins-- where I graduated with a BS in business and design.

After graduation I backpacked across southeast Asia. After my travels I worked as an HR assistant and Recruiting coordinator for the Department of Interior and Probuild and have worked in sales for 2 years. I am now happy to be with Ascent and working on the scientific recruiting team.

In my free time I enjoy hiking, continuous traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Virtual Director of Talent

Born and raised in San Francisco, I have been in the staffing industry for 10 years. I joined Ascent in June 2014 as the Virtual Director of Talent, overseeing all online and virtual operations. I am your concierge connecting you to access our services. Please contact me with any questions and I will answer promptly or have the appropriate team member get back to you right away! I am delighted to be working with such a passionate and dedicated team. Craig Jepsen
Senior Managing Director

Craig started with TEk Systems as an IT Recruiter when it was only a $35mm company and was instrumental in driving the company towards the billion company it is today.  He retired from them after 20 years and served in many different production and leadership roles both in sales and recruiting during his tenure there. 

Craig chose Ascent because of our small size and foundation built for growth, our desire to grow rapidly over the next 3-5 years and most importantly the people he met with-- he felt share a common desire to build a great company.

Craig is our Senior Managing Director with the long term objective to help build out the Chicago location with an IT presence and to work side by side with our rapidly growing Pharma/Life Sciences team.

Recruiting Account Lead

I began my career in IT recruiting at the perfect time – the dot com bubble of the late 1990s.

I found that I truly enjoy learning about new technologies and products and talking to experts in the field from all over the US. I have been at Ascent for four years, initially as a Senior Technical Recruiter and most recently as Recruiting Account Lead for the Bay Area Direct team.

What I like most about working at Ascent is their reputation in the IT industry, particularly their well-known commitment to personalized consultant care, and the company’s focus on excellence, performance, growth, and a healthy work/life balance.

Most of my free time outside of work is spent with my husband and three young children who love exploring local museums, nature trails, lakes and mountains. I am also a dedicated bookworm and will read anything I can get my hands on-- any genre!

Alison Carithers
Recruiter, Pharma

I have over ten years of valuable nationwide recruiting experience in the Clinical Research industry. My skills include recruiting expertise, contract negotiation, HR experience, technical expertise, in-person and telephone prospecting, and strong outside sales experience.

My specialty lies in Biometrics roles, but I am able to easily recruit across verticals including Clinical Operations, Drug Safety, Medical Writing and Regulatory. The skillsets I recruit for include Data Managers, SAS/Stat Programmers, Biostatisticians, Clinical Research Associates, Clinical Trial Assistants/Associates, Drug Safety Associates, Regulatory Managers, Contract Managers, Study Managers, and Medical Writers.

In my role at Ascent, I recruit for all types of IT jobs, but I especially like working with project managers and business analysts. I really like the hunt for the perfect candidate, and the great feeling I have when I’ve found that person. I get to talk with a lot of different people and many of them have touched my heart.

I just had a consultant convert to an FTE employee and she told me how much I’d changed her life. I really understand because someone did that for me when I started in recruiting. It’s great to pay it forward!

Lindsey Summers
Recruiter, Regulatory & Drug Safety Practice Lead

I’m a Recruiter in Ascent's Life Science Division and I have more than 6 years recruiting experience in the clinical development space. My specialties are regulatory affairs, drug safety and medical writing, but I often pinch hit for clinical, biometrics and quality positions.

I love talking with highly educated people that are passionate about what they do. The chase of recruiting is the best part of the job.

I grew up a military brat and lived around the world. My exposure to different cultures has really prepared me for the global world of clinical development!

Ron Tess
Sr. Scientific Recruiter

Born and raised in the Garden State with stops in Houston, Seattle, and the Bay Area along the way. I’ve been recruiting in various industries for 4 years. I joined Ascent in 2011 on our IT team and from there was fortunate enough to get an opportunity on our awesome Life Sciences team.

I am now the Lead Scientific Recruiter on Ascent Pharma, overseeing all positions within Research & Development, Quality, and Manufacturing. It is an extremely exciting position and there is nothing more rewarding than to be able to pick up the phone each day to tell someone they have just been offered their dream job!

In my spare time, I am an avid runner, having completed 10 half marathons in races around the world. In 2017 I'll be running the famous NYC Marathon! I enjoy listening to music and spent 8 years working in radio in Seattle as a morning show producer for alternative rock stations. I look forward to chatting with you soon!

Matthew Delacruz

Born and raised in the Bay Area, I’ve been recruiting for three years (and counting) after graduating college. Ascent gave me my first real opportunity in the staffing industry as a Recruiting Intern after completing my BS Degree in Business Administration and HR in 2013… and I never looked back! Three years later, I’m a Technical Recruiter for Ascent’s Bay Area team! I enjoy the interesting conversations with qualified candidates and linking their talent with the opportunities I have available. It’s always great to not only make a placement, but finding jobs for these candidates and having a helping hand in advancing their career. Outside of work, I’m a big time Bay Area sports fan (Warriors, Giants, and 49ers!), loves hiking trails, learning new technologies, and enjoy anything pop culture.

I am a Sr. Recruiting Associate here in the beautiful town of Chico, CA. I graduated in May of 2014 from California State University, Chico and found myself sticking around after college for a wonderful opportunity to be a Recruiting Associate with Ascent. This position has helped me link my passion for connecting with people and making their lives better by finding them great employment opportunities. I really enjoy talking with candidates about their lives and trying to see how I can make a difference. In my free time I love to stay active by going to the gym or by exploring the great outdoors of Northern California.  I also enjoy cooking, shopping for great deals, and going to see the San Francisco 49ers and the Oakland A’s play. Ashley Ugarte

I was born and raised in San Diego and currently live in Castle Rock, Colorado. I am a recent graduate from Metropolitan State University of Denver and graduated with a B.A. in Speech Communication with a minor in Criminal Justice.

As a new addition to the Scientific Division of Ascent, I am really excited to learn about the business. I love the possibilities of helping people find their dream job.

In my spare time I enjoy traveling, skiing, hiking with my dog Snickers and hanging out with my friends. I am also a huge football fan. My NFL team is the Chargers and my college team is the Huskers!

I am Sr. Recruiting Associate at Ascent. I graduated in 2010 from Chico State with a Bachelor’s Degree and I joined Ascent in 2014 as a Recruiting Associate. I love being part of a team that changes the way recruiting is being done. I love the challenge, the hunt, and turning every stone to find a “gem.” I love finding out what makes each candidate unique for a position and why they want to be a part of the company. I started with Ascent in 2014 as a Sourcing Specialist and have worked my way up to being a Technical Recruiter. Being new to the staffing industry, Ascent has been the perfect place to start my career.

I graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelors in History.  Deciding I needed a change I packed my bags and moved to Colorado and have loved every minute of it.

I love the active lifestyle of Colorado and enjoy running, skiing, and hiking.

While I have a fervent passion for the arts, I am excited to be a part of Ascent and effectively support the team as a Sr. Recruiting Coordinator.

During my free time, I take delight in visiting the Denver Art Museum, going snowboarding, and riding my motorcycle. I am also part of the National Physique Committee as a bodybuilder in the Bikini division.

I am a graduate from the University of Colorado Denver with a BA in Art History. My studies focused on Asian art, which exposed me to different cultures and historical backgrounds.

I joined Ascent in September 2015 and I’ve been in Life Science staffing since 2011. I am primarily focused on contract and permanent placement within Biotechnology, Medical Device, Medical Diagnostic, and Pharmaceutical industries.

Cindy Loguda
Sr. Clinical Development Recruiter

As a Sr. Clinical Development Recruiter at Ascent Pharma, I specialize in all areas of clinical operations with a focus on Regional CRAs, In-House CRAs, Clinical Trial Managers & Clinical Coordinators. For the past 9 years, I have found recruiting in the clinical market rewarding for a multitude of reasons. Foremost, the success of matching talent with client needs and ultimately helping both the person, end consumer and clinical trial/drug development process.

Born and raised in San Diego, I have 10+ years’ experience in the recruiting industry and joined the Ascent team in January 2016.

I’m a die-hard Chargers, Padres, Gulls and Aztecs fan who has a serious addiction to sports talk radio and the NFL Network.

My husband and I are members of the California Rare Fruit Growers association and love trying to make exotic tropical fruit grow in a Southern California climate. Helping others is my passion, being a recruiter allows me to do that every day and I couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunity! 

Mallory Frantz
Sourcing Specialist

Growing up as a Colorado native, I decided to switch up the scenery and head to Southern California to obtain my Bachelor’s Degree in Art History from the University of Redlands.

Realizing that I wasn’t a year-round flip-flop kind of gal, I headed back to the Colorado mountains where I took a Graphic Design job creating custom wedding invitations. Looking to switch things up once again, I joined Ascent in December 2015 as a Technical Recruiter and haven’t looked back.

I truly enjoy helping job seekers find gainful employment in a role they can excel in.

I joined Ascent in the summer of 2015, and am currently a Scientific Recruiter on the AscentPharma team. Originally from California, I moved to Denver, CO shortly after graduating from CSU Chico with a Bachelor’s in Economics.

I’m an avid sports fan and enjoy getting outdoors as much as possible, especially to play golf. My parents are my biggest inspiration, and the giraffe is my favorite animal!

With over 6 years of program coordination experience, I joined Ascent in December of 2015 as the Sales and Recruiting Coordinator. I have a passion for helping others succeed, love to be organized, and hold myself to high standards, therefore my role at Ascent is an excellent fit. I recently graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and was selected to join the Alpha Chi Honors Society for graduating with a 4.0 GPA. If I had to describe the Ascent team in one word, it would be POWERFUL! Everyone ranging from management to the recruiters and the account executives are focused, goal oriented, and positive. I am grateful to be a part of this dynamic team. In my spare time I love to spend time with my family. I also enjoy cooking, camping, wine tasting, and random getaways.

I began my career in Pharmaceutical staffing in 2005, after working for several years as a Research Chemist, and later, a Chemical Sales Manager.  I began in staffing in a business development role, specializing in pharmacovigilance. Over the last few years, I have become a generalist recruiter covering all aspects of clinical research. 

My background in science helps make me an effective pharmaceutical recruiter. I enjoy finding candidates opportunity that helps them achieve their long-term career goals.

Outside of work, I believe in staying active. I enjoy golf, running, skiing, tennis, reading, and rescuing German Shepherds.

I am a graduate of the University of Denver with a BA in psychology class of 2013. I started my journey to become a recruiter by speaking with a career counselor on how to become a “career counselor.” She advised me to try out recruiting and a few years later here I am, excited to be a part of Ascent and continue my journey as a Sourcing Specialist working toward the Recruiter title.

I was born and raised in Denver, CO and although I spend most of my spare time traveling outside of the country, Denver will always be home for me.

I love to keep moving, spending most of my time in the gym, lifting or outdoors-- always enjoying this wonderful state I call home.

I recently joined the Ascent Team in December of 2015 after graduating from California State University, Chico with my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management. It was exciting to come aboard the Ascent Team in little Chico, Ca after college, the experience and people here have been fantastic. At Ascent, I feel like I am making a difference in peoples’ lives by matching candidates with the opportunities they have been searching for. In my free time, I love to travel or relax and enjoy the outdoors, read a good novel, see the latest drama or action movie in theaters or participate in the occasional binge watching of my favorite television series.

Hello my name is Courtney Catron and I am very excited to be an Ascent employee. I was born and raised in a sleepy mountain town in California. I moved to Chico California about five years ago and just recently graduated Chico State University with a bachelor’s degree in social science. During my free time I may be participating in one of the above activities or maybe just cooking at home and hanging out with my cat.

I am a National Account Executive at Ascent with 3 years of full-cycle recruitment and workforce planning experience in the Pharmaceutical, Diagnostic, Biotechnology, Medical Device and IT industries. In my current role my duties are to identify and manage accounts in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area Scientific, Pharmaceutical, Diagnostic and Medical Device Industry.

I work closely with hiring managers to qualify opportunities and advise them on candidates that fit their skill sets and budget. I’m a great communicator and I love being on the front lines of putting people to work, especially helping people who have recently lost their jobs.

I stay active snowboarding in winter, wakeboarding in summer, playing golf and running/working out.

As an Account Executive on the Bay Area Direct team, I qualify client job requirements, manage the client relationship and work with recruiting to screen and qualify each consultant.

I thrive on the pure joy of getting somebody a job and that person performing for our client. I’m proud to say that I placed a web developer at ABC/Disney who helps develop the website each year!

When I’m away from the office, I enjoy sports, especially playing golf and skiing. I’m most inspired by my high school football coach.

I joined Ascent in 2012 as a National Account Executive in the Life Sciences Division with a specialty in the clinical, biometrics and regulatory affairs areas. My favorite part of this career is the constant evolution of the clinical research industry — one can never stop learning!

I have had the luxury of working in Clinical Research my entire professional career and continue to strive for excellence. Gratification comes from meeting my clients’ needs with unique solutions while valuing true customer service, keeping quality high and upholding our mission statement.

Something people might not know is that I work in the Chicago office with my twin sister, Ashley, who is a recruiter for our Life Sciences team!

I joined Ascent's Large Enterprise team in 2013 as a Technical Recruiter. I have 8 years of experience specializing in sales, marketing, and IT recruiting. I focus on placements of IT talent nationwide. Prior to Ascent, I was a Senior Technical recruiter for one of the largest staffing firms in the US.
I hold a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from the University of Colorado in Denver. I was born in Odessa Ukraine, my family migrated to the US in 2004.

I was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio and attended The University of Dayton. After graduating in May 2014 I decided to pack my bags and head for beautiful Denver, Colorado. I am an outdoor enthusiast.  

In my spare time I run, bike, hike, ski, and play golf. I am loyal to my Ohio sports teams (Bengals, Reds, Cavaliers, and Blue Jackets).

I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience with Ascent thus far and look forward to what the future has to offer!

A California native, I grew up on the beaches of sunny San Diego, went to school at Cal Poly, SLO on the beautiful central coast and have lived in the Bay Area for nearly twenty years.

I am delighted to have moved into an Account Executive role at Ascent and I'm excited to put everything I learned as a Recruiter to work while continuing to service my clients’ needs.

I make the most of my free time by traveling (5 continents and 23 countries and counting), playing hockey, seeing live music, hiking and camping and just relaxing with a good beer.

I joined the Ascent sales team February 2016. I partner Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Medical Device and related life science companies with staff augmentation and project-based workforce solutions, matching the right people with the right projects.

I work closely with client sponsors to develop solutions that will meet both corporate and project specific goals and objectives.

Niki Manalo
Sr. Manager, Business Development

I joined the Ascent team in April 2016 as a Senior Manager of Business Development. With just under 10 years of industry experience, I partner with clients in the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Medical Device and Diagnostics industries to assist with staff augmentation and resourcing solutions. I focus on functional areas like R&D, Quality, Regulatory and Clinical and am able to help fill a variety of positions requiring Scientific, Engineering, or Clinical backgrounds.

I have an MS degree in Engineering Management and a BS degree in Chemical Engineering. Having worked in R&D myself many years ago, I take the time to learn about the technical skills and nuances for each position to help make the right match.

I make the most of my free time by spending time with my husband and young daughter, playing volleyball, traveling the globe and cooking/eating a wide variety of cuisine from around the world.

I’m a mid-west guy through and through. I grew up in rural Indiana, attended Purdue University (although I’m a diehard Notre Dame football season ticket holder) and immediately lived in Chicago after graduation for seven years. My wife, dog and I relocated to Colorado at the end of 2015 to take advantage of the outdoor lifestyle and ditch the Chicago winters.

The best way to describe myself would be a college football/basketball fanatic, avid golfer, live music lover and somebody who just enjoys having a good time. I am deeply passionate about sales and paying forward all of the coaching and mentorship I received early in my career to others just getting theirs started.

I look forward to being a part of the inevitable success that awaits our team here at Ascent in the future.

Jackie has worked in the staffing industry for the last 13 years focusing primarily on Scientific Staffing. Currently she's an National Account Executive for Ascent focusing on growing the Scientific and Engineering business for the Midwest market. She loves to understand how the pieces come together and make a product; the people, the ideas and ultimately the product-- and again to find a way to make it even better! As she grows, she'd love to deepend her knowledge in the hiring process from product development through quality control. She looks forward to helping clients understand the supply and demand in the market, salary expectations and how to attract and retain talent.

Travis Gibson

As a member of the Engagement Management team, I joined Ascent in May 2016 after being referred by my friend Gary McCune, the Recuiting Manager. 

I grew up in Southern California, attended Cal State Fullerton and later moved to Northern California in 2009. I was an accomplished Chef for over seven years and after the birth of my daughter, Tegan, I ventured down a completely different path…I put down the knives and apron and picked up a suit and tie!

I am well rounded and a quick learner with a passion for customer service. I enjoy the family like atmosphere within Ascent as well as the care and passion Ascent has for its Clients and Consultants. My greatest accomplishment is my daughter and the relationship we share. In my spare time I am most likely outdoors adventuring with my dog, Archer.
