Ascent Supplier Diversity Cultivation Policy

Building a strong network is a cornerstone of Ascent’s business strategy; a network that links exceptional talent with clients that have excellent opportunities. The strength of a network depends on diversity. Ascent’s Supplier Diversity Cultivation (ASDC) program supports and guides a comprehensive approach to the selection and management of certified diversity suppliers. Ascent has developed this policy and program to expand opportunities for diversity firms and to support our clients’ Tier I and Tier II diversity initiatives. In addition to working as an equal opportunity employer that strives for diversity in our employee population Ascent also believes partnerships with certified diversity firms for our subcontracting needs will advance the commercial opportunities for these firms and contribute to our community service goals. We encourage certified diverse companies to partner with us in providing staffing solutions to our customers across a variety of business disciplines.

 

Through Supplier Diversity Cultivation, it is Ascent’s priority to:

  • Encourage and assist Minority, Women, and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (MWDBEs)

  • Develop diverse companies into strong supply and staffing partners

  • Facilitate diverse suppliers in gaining access to greater business awards

Supplier Qualifications

To qualify as a U.S. diverse supplier, a company must be at least 51% owned, managed, and controlled by U.S. citizens who are classified as one of the following:

  • African American

  • Hispanic American

  • Native American

  • Asian-Pacific American

  • Asian-Indian American

  • Woman Owned

  • Disabled Veteran

  • Small Disadvantaged
