Sales Associate/Junior Account Executive

    Summary/Objective
    The purpose of the Ascent Sales Associate Program is to provide a training environment that allows individuals new to the Contract Staffing and Direct Hire Search industry an opportunity to systematically develop the skills and build their contact networks necessary to be successful while simultaneously providing direct value to overall company objectives. The objectives and requirements listed below are meant to give members of the Sales Associate Program a roadmap of what is required in order to advance their career at Ascent. However, management reserves the right to deviate from the career progression plan below in the event it is in the best interest of the company and/or the individual employee.

    Essential Functions

    Sales Associate:

    • Develop proactive telephone communication skills.
    • Develop the focus, organization and planning skills necessary to generate a minimum of 50 outbound client contact call attempts per day.
    • Develop and maintain client contact targets via the Job Diva task and contact notes workflows.
    • Learn how to gather from client contacts information regarding their current and/or future hiring needs.
    • Learn how to screen potential candidates for fit and gather sales information.
    • Learn how to navigate and develop target company organizational charts and map out current and upcoming projects.
    • Develop the ability to ask client contacts for referrals to other client contacts within the organization or past companies the contact may have worked for that can be followed up on by the Ascent sales team.
    • Learn how to schedule follow up meetings and or conference calls for the Ascent sales team.
    • Assist Ascent sales team on weekly email campaigns to maintain contact with key hiring managers.
    • Enter and update all gathered information into the Ascent CRM (Job Diva) and client related spreadsheets.
    • Work to become a subject matter expert as it relates to typical job requisitions within your specialty or industry focus.
    • Tracks and organizes, electronically, new and existing client information including scheduled target calls, completed calls, contact profile information, organizational charts, meetings and new consulting requests via Ascent’s CRM.
    • Actively build and maintain communication with a minimum of 300 buyers/influencers (Actively Managed Contact’s-AMC).
    • Meet or exceed the performance metrics for this role.
    • Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.

    Junior Account Executive:

    • All responsibilities listed for the Sales Associate Learn how to gather new job requisitions information and provide to Senior Account Executives and/or Ascent Recruiting team.
    • Attend client meetings with Senior Account Executives to learn how to present Ascent and run meeting agendas.
    • Assist Senior Account Executive with submitting candidates directly to hiring managers and gathering submittal feedback.
    • Assist Senior Account Executive with scheduling candidate interviews and gathering interview feedback.
    • Assist Senior Account Executive with start details on new assignments.
    • Assist Account Executives to follow up with client on unapproved or rejected timesheets weekly.

  • Additional Requirements

    Supervisory Responsibility
    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Work Environment
    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.

    Physical Demands

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
    This is a full-time position; days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Team Members are expected to work a minimum 8-hour day between the core hours of 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM.

    Travel

    • Local travel and interstate travel is expected for this position, up to 50% to visit clients, attend corporate meetings and trade shows.
    • Required Education and Experience
    • High School diploma or equivalent and 6 months of relevant work experience.
    • Preferred Education and Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree.
